Are you a midwife, nurse or obstetrician?

IMA is looking for midwives with many years of experience, especially homebirth experience, and a verifiable credential (the CPM or CNM). If you are a homebirth midwife licensed in your jurisdiction who doesn't hold the CPM, we may honor your license. We also send some RNs who have a lot of OB experience, as well as obstetricians. If you feel uniquely qualified to work with our program and do not fit these criteria, please contact us to discuss your situation.

The clinic in Soroti is staffed by Ugandan health professionals. IMA will send some clinicians to do professional development and skills upgrading with the staff. As IMA establishes its birth center, it is likely we will need many midwives and nurses to provide support and oversight.

IMA requires a commitment of at least two months, or eight weeks, of work at the project location. (We welcome and encourage longer stays.)
