Each month, on average, Teso Safe Motherhood Project staff sees nearly 1,000 patients during outreach visits to the remote villages of Aboket, Acowa, Ajeleik and Lale. More than 50 percent of the patients seen are younger than 15. Many of our patients are critically ill and would possibly die without our treatment. In an environment where unclean water can cause deadly bouts of diarrhea and malaria and typhoid are all-too-common, it is essential that we bring free medical care to outlying communities. For $150, you can fund one complete day of outreach and singlehandedly help hundreds of people. |
